ADULT CLASSES

Do I need to register in advance for individual classes?

There is no need to register in advance for adult group exercise classes (except for classes with a reservation fee). The purchased valid season ticket or 10x card must be present at all classes and shown to the instructor. At the beginning of the class, one square on the 10x card is recorded as used.

Where can I get my belongings for an hour?

Energym has lockers in the changing rooms where you can safely leave your belongings for an hour. If you wish, you can also rent your own locker for a specific season.

Does the club insure its members?

Our club does not insure its members for the duration of the gym classes, but everyone should take care of their own insurance.

If I arrive by car, where do I park?

Energym does not have free parking spaces. There are guest spaces on the side of the parking area. After office hours, you can also park in the reserved spaces in the front and back yards if they do not have a no parking sign, 24-hour sign or other similar prohibition sign. The names of a few companies whose spaces are not allowed to be parked are also listed on the wall of the stairwell, so please pay attention to these as well. There are parking spaces with parking discs in the yard of the adjacent Lidl.

CHILDREN'S CLASSES

I'm bringing my child to the gym for the first time, can I stay and watch the class?

We hope that if your child stays in the gym and is active, the parents will leave the premises when the class starts. The classes are intended for children to exercise on their own, where they can learn for the first time how to work in a group and how to be apart from their parents, together with other children and encouraging instructors. We hope that you will give the instructors and children some exercise time. Depending on the class, we organize joint classes, where parents are very welcome to participate in the class with their children!

What kind of equipment should I bring to class?

For all classes, good equipment is exercise clothing that is easy to move in. A water bottle is recommended. It is safest to move around in gym shoes or without socks.

Where can I put my belongings for the class?

Do you ask children's instructors to show a criminal record?

Yes. Every instructor who works with children under the age of eighteen has shown a criminal record before starting to instruct with our club.

REGISTRATION  

Can I try out a class before signing up?

Yes, you can! All adult and family exercise classes with space available offer the opportunity to try out and feel out the class once, always in the first few weeks of the season, to see if you like it. During the season, you can try out adult and children's classes at Energym and schools. Check the trial fees in the current price list.

How can I register for classes?

Registration is done through the member information program Hoika. Instructions for registering and using the member information program can be found here.

The course/group I would like to register for is already full. Is there anything I can do?

If the course or group is full, you can register for a waiting list through the member information program. If there are places available for a class, the office will contact those with a reserve.

The season has already started, can I still register for classes?

Yes, you can. Registration for our classes starts before the start of the actual gym season, but you can register for classes at any time during the season, if there is room in the group. There are no registrations for adult classes, so you can join at any time.

Can I get a discount on season fees?

There are discounts for certain groups. The discounts only apply to the adult sports card and are calculated from the valid regular-priced adult season card. Discounts cannot be combined. The discount does not apply to the club's annual membership fee.

I am a student, over 65 or in another discount group, how do I get the promised discount on the season fee?

Our membership information program is not able to directly identify discounts, which is why the program always gives the regular price directly on the invoice. If you belong to the above groups, you can however deduct the discount amount from the invoice amount when you pay the invoice. If you wish, you can also write in your own information in the membership information program “guardian name and phone number” (the only field where you can write additional information) which discount group you belong to. When applying for a season sticker, you must prove that you belong to a discount group.

PAYMENT  

How do I pay with the ePassi, Edenred or Smartum app?

Pay primarily at the Energym cashier! 

If you only attend school hours, pay the instructor.

  1. Download the desired application to your phone (ePassi, Edenred, Smartum).

  2. Follow the instructions in the application and select Turku Naisvoimistelijat as the recipient of the payment. Add the correct amount.

  3. Confirm the payment and show the payment at the cashier / to the instructor. 

After payment, make sure that your payment is recorded in the cash register / instructor's list. From here, registrations are recorded in the Hoika member information system. 

You can also register through the Hoika member information program yourself, select the desired season/group/course and accept the invoice. In this case, remember to mention the invoice when paying so that it can be recorded as paid.

Remember that with employer benefits you cannot pay for membership fees or children's hobbies!

How do I pay for my registration with Smartum sports vouchers or Edenred fitness vouchers?

Smartum vouchers must be delivered to our club office (Klaneettitie 6-8 A), either by bringing them yourself to the club, leaving them in the club mailbox, handing them over to the instructors during classes at schools, or by mailing them. Please note that you are responsible for vouchers that arrive by mail - the club is not responsible for lost items. Also, remember that sports vouchers are personal, so they cannot be used to pay for children's or spouse's hobbies.

Can I also pay the membership fee with employer benefits (Epassi, Smartum, Edenred)?

You cannot pay the membership fee with employer benefits. You can only pay the seasonal fees with them. The membership fee must be paid separately.

Can I pay part of my seasonal fee with sports vouchers/sports benefit and part with an invoice?

Yes, you can. Remember to deduct the portion you paid with sports vouchers or sports benefit from the total amount of your invoice. It doesn't matter if you pay the invoice first and only then with employer benefits. However, remember that you cannot pay the membership fee portion with employer benefits.

Is it possible for me to change the due date of my invoice or pay it in two or more installments?

Yes, it is possible. Please contact the office directly at koordinattori@tnv.fi.

Can I use the Boostii benefit offered by the City of Turku for my child's hobby fees?

Yes, you can. The Boostii benefit is available to all children in Turku. Read more about using the Boostii benefit and more detailed instructions for using the benefit here.

How can I cancel my registration?

You can find the cancellation terms here.

What happens if I have paid with employer benefits and cancel my registration?

Even if you cancel your participation for the relevant period, the portion of the period fee paid with employer benefits cannot be refunded. Payments cannot be transferred to the next period or to another person.
